We use modern, reliable, US-manufactured standing units and other ancillary equipment with an abundance of health and safety features.
At CDC our haemodialysis therapy is based on documented policies and procedures (initiation, monitoring and discontinuation) which is in keeping with current guidelines for adequacy.
Our haemodialysis staff are licensed and certified in their professions and are trained and experienced to respond to problems which may occur during treatment. W e utilise a 5-station water filtration and treatment post that undergoes frequent documented testing
We monitor each Patient very closely over the entire duration that they are on a dialysis machine. Over the entire duration of the treatment, we document and maintain the records of key parameters (or observations) of the progress of both the Patient and equipment on our Patient Treatment Flow sheet. The continuous monitoring during the dialysis treatment is done to prevent, detect and treat complications.
CDC is aware and mindful of the most common interdialytic Patient and Technical complications. To effectively address these complications and to ensure Patient safety and comfort, we adhere to the most current intervention/management and prevention methods available. CDC notifies, whenever necessary, the Patient’s Nephrologist or Physician on occurrences and interventions. W e have a documented manual on the most common Patient and Technical complications, and the CDC intervention/management/prevention methods/procedures that we follow for each patient.
Central Dialysis Centre has an established infection prevention and control program which includes strategies and interventions to reduce the infection risk for both staff and Patients. Aseptic technique is used and adhered to by CDC staff to prevent the spread of infection. The goal is to attain asepsis, which means an environment that is free of harmful, infectious microorganisms. Our staff show demonstrable competency in implementing our Infection Control Policies and practicing precautions and other procedures to prevent and control infections. W e ensure maintenance of equipment to assure safe dialysis treatment and maintenance of a clean and sanitary environment
